The Security
The security drums. Every company should have a set:
I walked into the office to find our security operations analyst beating on drum, working hard to keep a rhythm.
I asked him what he was doing and he replied “I am beating the new security drum to ward off the computer viruses. Management just bought it from the vendor and they say it adds another level of protection.”
“Is it working?” I asked.
“I’m sure it is, we have not had an infection all morning!”
Just then the security manager walked by and reported two new viruses were detected on the network and offered this advice “beat faster!”

ADV Films’ dialogue director Kyle Jones has confirmed on the AnimeOnDVD forums that veteran voice actor Mike Kleinhenz died on July 11 of a heart attack. He was 56. Kleinhenz played Kalinin in all four versions of the Full Metal Panic! anime. He also played The Raven in Princess Tutu, Friday Monday in Madlax, Kabapu in Excel Saga, and dozens of other roles.Thank you to Jack Cox for the news tip.
Next Ghibli Film from Takahata Is Now More ‘Definite’
Studio Ghibli President Koji Hoshino revealed to the Nikkei Waga Maga website that studio co-founder Isao Takahata (Grave of the Fireflies, Only Yesterday, Pom Poko) is proceeding with his preparations for a new film. While he cannot discuss the contents of the film yet, Hoshino said the plans are now more “definite” compared to one year ago. Hoshino first mentioned that Takahata and Goro Miyazaki (the son of studio co-founder and Oscar-winning director Hayao Miyazaki) are developing new works in February. While it has been nearly a decade since Takahata directed his last film, 1999’s My Neighbors the Yamadas, Hoshino said that Takahata has not stopped animating or writing on other works. Hoshino added that Takahata is in very good spirits, so he hopes audiences will look forward to the next film.

The American distributor Viz Media has announced that it added the Bleach, Death Note, and Naruto television anime series to Apple’s iTunes online download store in the United States today. English dubbed versions of the first 41 episodes of Bleach, all 37 episodes of Death Note, and the first 25 uncut episodes of Naruto are now on the service. The three series are the first offerings in the new Viz Media studio section. Except for the later episodes of Bleach and the last four episodes of Death Note which just ran on America’s Adult Swim television network, these episodes are also available on the Direct2Drive and TotalVid services. Funimation, Manga Entertainment, and Tezuka Productions have also added anime to the iTunes store in America.
Red Planet Media’s JumpInMobile.TV video service began offering three anime series — MoonPhase, Gunslinger Girl, and Galaxy Railways — on its own version of the FUNimation Channel on America’s Sprint and AT&T Wireless phone networks this week. It costs US$4.99 a month to watch any number of episodes from the MoonPhase or Gunslinger Girl package, and either package will include Galaxy Railways for free. Red Planet Media already began offering MoonPhase and Galaxy Railways on a pay-per-clip basis on the AT&T Wireless network on May 23. Funimation announced the new JumpInMobile.TV offerings at Anime Expo 2008. At the same event, Funimation also announced that Aquarion and Witchblade will be added to the iTunes Store in late July, and that the YouTube online video service will be streaming Blue Gender, Slayers, Peach Girl, Mushi-Shi, and Kiddy Grade.
Japan’s Foreign Ministry!!
Kazuo Kodama, a Japanese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, issued a statement on Friday that expressed regret for Muslims’ feelings that were hurt by images deemed inappropriate in the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime. The original manga’s Part 3 (”Stardust Crusaders,” pictured at right) has a scene in which the main villain, Dio, vowed to kill the main character Jōtarō Kujō while looking at illegible book pages. The staff of the anime version unknowingly inserted reproductions of pages from the Qur’an, the main religious text of Islam, in the corresponding scene of the sixth anime episode (”The Mist of Vengeance”).

Here we have a group wallpaper of Uchiha Sasuke and his outlawed Uchiha Itachi standing back to back in the centre of the Naruto Wallpaper. Above the centre of their heads is the fan which distinguishes the Uchiha Clan of Konoha.
Towards the top left we have Itachi which is subtly faded as is the transformed form of Uchiha Sasuke on the right. The background of this Naruto Wallpaper is quite fitting as it is a blur as are the lives of these two brothers. Also there is white text which has a soft shadow of black which gives it a lift. Overall a good Naruto Wallpaper.

Sai is the character in the middle of this Naruto Wallpaper who is looking lonely and appears to be torn between two extremes. These extremes are the friendly team constituting Naruto and Sakura or the other end of the spectrum, Orochimaru.
I happen to like the effect which has been created between the two sides. The green on the left signifies that they are from Konoha (the leaf village) while the right side is just a brown colour. Overall there isn’t much to say about this Naruto Wallpaper but it is quite attractive.

This is an excellent Naruto Wallpaper of Uchiha Sasuke which I think looks quite cute. Moving onto the Naruto Wallpaper there is an image used of Uchiha Sasuke which has a game type shading to it and also looking to the background it is just a backdrop of a house with a blooming tree. The Naruto Wallpaper is then copied and pasted at different angles with a black shadow.
In essence it is a simple Naruto Wallpaper of Uchiha Sasuke but I feel that more work has been done to this than appears on the surface.

This Naruto Wallpaper of Uzumaki Naruto caught my eye due the amount it stood out due to the background. The image used of Uzumaki Naruto is quite good but could have been of better stock. Directly behind Uzumaki Naruto there is a type of explosion of orange with a yellow background around that.
Overall an average Naruto Wallpaper in a lot of senses but it just caught my eye…

The mysterious organisation of Akatsuki has come together in this Naruto Wallpaper. There is a nice background to this Naruto Wallpaper which creates an air of mystery. Each of the members a lined up together and I must say that each Akasuki member’s image are of high quality, which I like to see! Moving your gaze down you will see a discreet wisp of mist which extends from the left side all the way across the Naruto Wallpaper.

This is a Naruto Wallpaper if Yamanaka Ino pulling her eye and sticking her tongue out cheekily. On to the Naruto Wallpaper itself has a colour image of Yamanaka Ino with a blue ticker in the centre and a photograph style black and white at the top and bottom of the Naruto Wallpaper.
Overall an OK Naruto Wallpaper but it could have done better by using a higher quality image of Yamanaka Ino.

Here we have a Naruto Wallpaper of Uzumaki Naruto himself. There is an image of Uzumaki Naruto used with his top unzipped. There is green shading around him and the background of this Naruto Wallpaper is plain simple white with black netting overlaying the whole wallpaper.
